Meet Dr. Katherine Landau Wright

I’m a teacher and researcher motivated to support education in both K12 and higher education settings. I am a creative problem-solver who looks for out-of-the-box solutions to the challenges facing education.

I leverage my skills related to curriculum and instruction, research, and literacy development to:

  • Coach graduate students and other academics (individually, in groups, and on teams) to build motivation so they will be excited to engage with their work.

  • Engage with professors and institutions of higher education to develop curriculum (online, face-to-face, and hybrid) and integrate literacy and writing development into coursework.

  • Collaborate with K12 teachers and districts to improve instruction and learning outcomes

  • Partner with researchers and nonprofits to seek grant funding and further our knowledge of educational topics such as motivation and engagement, literacy learning, language acquisition, and writing development.

  • Support families in assessing and advocating for students struggling with literacy learning.

I primarily work remotely, but am open to both local (i.e., mid-Missouri) and long-distance travel.

Life

When not working, I enjoy baking, drawing, and going on adventures with my husband and our daughter.

I love to travel, spend time with friends and family, and meet new and interesting people.

To keep sane, I run (slowly) and practice yoga (a bit awkwardly).

My ideal vacation is anywhere with a beach and a good book.

Get started with Katherine, today.
